I am not a fan of showing a lot of my skin especially my shoulders but I decided to try something out of my comfort zone.

This outfit that I am wearing is completely vintage except for the accessories. I happened to find the trousers at a thrift store and I have been longing to put an outfit together on the blog. Even though the material of the trousers is quite thick they fit well and feel comfortable. 

I paired the trousers with a simple camisole and matching nude heels to add some height to the look.

I enjoyed putting this look together and I am happy with how it turned out. I also enjoyed making my face up and you should be expecting a makeup tutorial pretty soon.

Accessories play a vital role when it comes to putting an outfit together. From shoes, earring, necklaces, handbags, etc, they have the ability of making an outfit less drab and more fab. With different accessories a simple dress like the one I am wearing can be changed into different outfits for different occasions. 

I chose to pair this mustard dress with a blue and gold beaded necklace as the vibrant colours complement each other quite well. 

These cobalt blue heels are one of my favourite items this season and they match with the necklace and make this simple dress a lot more appealing to the eye. 

Invest in bold statement jewelry this summer to make your simple outfits classic and chic. This necklace can also be paired with a simple t-shirt, a pair of jeans and cute sandals.

Friday was officially my last day in high school. I can still remember my first day of high school like it was yesterday. I was a shy, chubby-cheeked girl who always kept to herself, until I made friends and became familiar with the environment of course. Since then I have grown and I am still growing into the young woman God wants me to be.

This year is coming to an end soon and that means the time for me to write my final exams is drawing near.
In preparation for my final exams I have been meditating on a lot of scriptures to help me keep calm through this time.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”  (James 1:5 NIV)


“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful.  Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”  (Hebrews 12:11 NIV)

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  (Philippians 4:13)

I would like to wish all the matriculants of 2016 the best for their finals. Keep your head high, stay focused and remember that God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind.

Recently I put together a summer bucket list and I got a chance to tick one of the things off and it was number 12, "Do a good deed". We all know how this time of the year is a time of receiving but it is also a time of giving, Acts 20v35. Our church and a non-profit organization called A.C.T.S came together and organized gifts for the children in H.L.C.I. Seeing the children smile really brought warmth unto my heart.

 Speaking about warmth, the sun came out to play today in Durban and with the hectic heat we're experiencing (I say due to global warming) it's important to take care of your skin by wearing hats, sunnies and lots and lots of sunscreen.

"Exams are finally over!!", shouted Tlego while jumping on her bed. I have tried my best and now it's time to relax (holiday mode) and let God do the rest.

Speaking about holidays, I am OVER EXCITED about this summer! (It's a first for me to be this crazy about summer.) So to share my excitement with you I decided to put a few sets together on Polyvore, hope you like 'em. 

 

 

 

These are a few essential items one is going to need this season and I have to go  shopping for some new lipstick, really digging the bright red colour like this one.

 

We all know that during this time of the year it's all about the festivities, family gathering and most importantly the food!! And these are a few of my favourite foods.
